An Arctic tern attacking from the direction of the sun
It’s not the easiest thing in the world taking pictures of Arctic Terns while they are nesting. Disturbing their nesting grounds can lead to ferocious attacks with attempts to peck holes in the top of your head. But having said that watching them fly is a real treat. They do one acrobatic stunt after another leaving the audience awestruck. These pictures were taken under on such attack and trying to keep calm was no easy feat.
